Job Description Position
Summary:
This position is responsible to maintain the plant facility, equipment, and machinery in optimum working order.
Essential Job Duties:
- Perform welding fabrication including layout and design, and repair of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
Must be proficient with MIG, TIG, Stick, cutting torches, grinders, drills, and working with metal, pipe, and flat iron.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and emergency/unscheduled repairs on plant facilities, equipment, and machinery including pumps, gearboxes, augers, grinders, mixers, conveyors, filling machines and sealers.
- Assemble, install and/or repair electrical on three phase and single phase circuitry.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions- Replace or repair defective equipment and parts- Perform minor building repair and upkeep- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary- Inspect, operate, and test plant facilities, equipment, and machinery- Procure and maintain an optimum inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies adequately organized in storage- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machineryKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Reliable presence and promptness on premises- Ability to communicate with Supervisors, Associates, and Contractors for work projects- Project management including task sequencing, resource management, scheduling,- Specialty Skills such as welding, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.
- Researching information Decision-making and problem-solving- Performing general physical activities, handling and moving objectsQualification RequirementsRequired Education and Experience- Minimum of High school diploma or GED- Certified Forklift operation- Current Driver-s License and clean recordPreferred Qualifications- Certified Welder- ConstructionPhysical Demands:
