Director of Housekeeping

With us you will be able to:
Select, train, supervise, schedule, develop, discipline, and counsel associates in the housekeeping department.
Direct housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions in the Hotel for 279 rooms.
Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the property and submit recommendations: repairs, painting, and furnishing.
Purchase all linen, cleaning supplies and equipment
Manage the Housekeeping Office
May at times be needed to serve as a Transportation Agent to facilitate transportation needs of guests (or supplies) in lieu of a dedicated Transportation Agent at the hotel, if applicable.
Have passion for service; like taking care of others; and provide that friendly above and beyond service to your customers
Of course other duties will be assigned because of how efficiently your time is being utilized.
Show your speed and agility at changing directions throughout your day.
Desired Skills and Experience
You should have:
Minimum 3 years' experience as a supervisor, assistant manager, or manager.
Considerable knowledge of housekeeping policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, and bookkeeping procedures.
Thorough knowledge of computer systems: i.e. MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and electronic scheduling and e-mail systems.
You are able to multi-task, follow-through and prioritize well to meet deadlines
You can connect honestly and openly with your guests and your team.
You can develop effective working relationship with fellow associates, managers, outside representatives and agencies.
There are times when you may have to deal with an unhappy person; you do need to know how to deal professionally, courteously and tactfully with the public and coworkers.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
